New Crack: Yarn Spinning

Spindle and Yarn

What’s a day at the Renaissance Fair without learning something new and addicting? Learned to spin on a drop spindle, I did.

The yarn shop at the fair gave me a lesson. I bought a drop spindle, gray wool of some sort (12 oz) and some soy silk (like corn silk) for fun. So far my yarn is, well scrunchy. But I’ll work on it!

I also got a tri-loom. I’ve been trying to figure the whole thing out. I keep tangling the yarn though. I’ll have to work on it a bit more.
