Perilous Dreams contains four stories of the Ty-Kry dreamers. The first one, Toys of Tamisin is also in the book High Sorcery.
This is one of my favorite of Norton’s creations. Typical of most of Norton’s works, all we get is what is going on right now. I would like to know more about the hives, the politics and the like.
Norton continues the story of Tamisin where Toys left off. What follows is Tam-sin and her new companions making their way in a new world.
Norton has decided to tell of a new chapter in the dreamer world without telling us the first. The next story is of a woman who is sent to get the new leader of the world, but he is trapped in a dream of his choosing, to better his world.
Like before Norton writes of the powers of dreamers that they don’t even know they have.
We get more politics in the last story where Norton combines a bit of what the dreamers know, with a little commentary on fantasy and adulthood thrown in.
Over the book was a great read. Action filed and contained. I just wish there was more back story to this.
