Stephanie Pearl-McPhee Casts Off – The Yarn Harlots’s Guide to the Land of Knitting

The Yarn Harlot cast off in a pun filled book about the world of knitting. Set up like a travel book, Casts Off describes knitting as a place where knitters live, and knitting gets done. Pearl-McPhee describes the world of knitting in context, including notes on history, notable knitters, items associated with knitting and the problems one might encounter.

The book is fun look at knitting, probably only funny to knitters. This book reaches a high level of silly in this regard. It was fun to read about knitting for me…being that I’m a knitter. Oh be quiet you.
