This book is awful. How else does one describe the horror that Crystal Fire by Kathleen Morgan. If the substandard writing is not enough, this implausible Sci-Fi tale of lust is moronic in all ways. Whenever the main characters fight, they just rape each other then say it’s okay. In fact after the heroine betrays the hero, Brace, she just rapes him while he’s in chains, and they are okay again.

This book is so bad it is hard to imagine why the author made a trilogy of it. I’ve never seen the other books anywhere, but this is so repulsive you don’t need to buy it. Walk around for a while and you will find free copies literally lying around. You can find multiple copies in used books stores if they haven’t banned it. I guarantee no one will ever reprint it, so you won’t find this abomination in any new books store. I’m sure all the other copies of this trilogy have been burned is effigy. However with all the copies of this particular train-wreck lying around, I suspect that it is fire proof and does not biodegrade.

So for a basic synopsis: Marissa, a man hater, breaks Brace out of prison with some wookie knock off to sell him into slavery to get her sister back from a psychopath. But she gets addicted to his penis and regrets her actions, even though she does it anyway. After a good rape scene they are okay with each other again. The guy has more headaches than the woman in this book. They fight a horrible mechanical evil, deal with bad family ties, kill a few people off, win, they get hurt and they fuck into the sunset.
