So this kidney stone is 5 millimeters. Too big to pass. I also have a UTI from the first one scraping up the insides like spaghetti from a pot. Yeah me. Next sonic bombardment. There has to be some one out there that got superhero powers from something called sonic bombardment.
St. Anthony’s was a cluster fuck. I was told by the nurse that I’m not allowed to go back to St. Anthony’s ever because they have written me too many prescriptions. A total of five. I’ve only filled two. The other three I gave to my doc to tare up
So to recap….the female doc and nurse I got on the Thursday before last, awesome gals. The male doc, and two nurses this last Thursday, crazy mo-fos. The first nurse of that morning put my iv in. I knew I should have been worried when she got the towels out first. She let me dribble around a bit while she cleaned up the paper trash. Then she did a bit more and missed and did it again while blood flowed down my arm. Then she stopped again to pick up her paper trash one thing at a time. Sigh.
The second nurse yelled at me and told me that it was my fault. The doc? Uninterested and relayed most of his messages through the yelling nurse. She’s the one who told me that they would never treat me again. My reg doc (not my actual reg doc she was out but my secondary at the same office) told me they were insane. That going to get IV fluids was important. She alluded that they should have referred me and treated me there. But then it’s St. Anthony’s.
My mother told me I should not be going to any doctors until I have insurance. But I don’t appear to live in a world where disease waits on my schedule. She tried to tell me to go to a clinic for non-emergencies…but when I pointed out that she lived in retirement central and had that care that you did not have to pay before for…she left the point alone. Since I’m not allowed back at my local hospital I checked into the nearest clinc. Yep, up front fees. To be fare they have saved some one I know from heart-failure at least twice that I know of. That’s a good thing.
And it’s not just Colorado. Here’s horror stories from a St. Anthony’s in MO.
Here’s some for North and Central in Colorado.
