Car Wreck 2007

So, for those of you who were waiting with baited breath for the next installment of Michelle-got-hit-by-a-car-but-didn’t-die-or-loose-her-car drama wait no longer.

My brother and I have a habit of getting in car wrecks that we had nothing to do with. He tends to need a new car and/or surgery. I usually walk away and my car just needs a few repairs.

This time a lady in a green Toyota suv rammed her car into the side of mine then took off. She didn’t look at me or even slow down. I got thrown across two turn lanes when I was trying just to go straight. No one else was hit and no one stopped.

In a crisis, I’m usually self-possessed enough to realize my surroundings. I got a look at her face, the make and color of her car and her license plate numberThank you Colorado for switching to smaller numbers..

After some hysterics, I got myself together and turned onto Ulster then into a private parking lot. Security eye’d me a bit but were reluctant to confront a woman with long black and white marks down the side of her car. Perhaps it was the bawling.

I called my insurance company, and then the cops. After a small kerfluffleIt’s a fine line between Greenwood Village and Denver. A fine, busy line., the fire department came out to check me out. Diagnosis: Sore but no need for a hospital. Then a Denver cop showed and took the report.

Starbucks now has Chai frappicinosPut them in stores please., and a cheese plate. I went there to calm my nerves for an hour before heading off to work. When the shaking stopped, I left.

So now I wait. My insurance company needs to call me back. I need to have my car serviced. I hope this lady gets picked up.

The day has been to long. Our D&D game is canceled but I’m going to J.’s anyway. He’s good company.

Glad you’re okay. Bummer for the new car. You should see if you have rental on your insurance and go drop your car off at one of the insurance companies mechanics. Hopefully, you won’t have to pay out anything. Ask if the frame is bent when they check it out to fix it, it sounds like you got hit pretty hard and if the frame is bent you might not want it back. If it gets totaled because of a bent frame, the insurance will pay you for it…then you’ll have to go get another new car. 🙂 Hope your day is getting better.

Glad you are okay! Sorry to hear about the accident. Things have been busy – getting the invitations worked out and getting the house decorated finally so it looks like people live there. We have a class a week to go to so we are “approved” for the validation ceremony. It all seems nuts. I’m finally getting back up to the surface where I can start to reconnect and resume “normal” life…*HUGS*
