Tarot Class 2/21/02

I started a tarot class tonight. Kind of an experiment for me. I found the teacher to be open to new ideas though many of hers were not well researched. She focuses mostly on the reading aspect of the cards not much on history or symbolism. She claimed that all decks were the same, though was forced to acknowledge differences with confronted with the Fairy Wicca Tarot.

Astrological significants were ascribed randomly to court cards from various books. She claimed these to be the foundations of their meanings though the knight had no astrological symbols. I found that odd. It also seemed that she had only read from a select dozen books, most of which were out of print. Though this is valid, it seemed odd she had not read much else.
