In October we headed to Vegas for a few days. We laid low, ate some incredible food at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, and saw O at the Bellagio. That was incredible too. We spent a day at the shooting range too.
First there was the airport. This advertisement is projected at the wall…and the people mover around. It freaks me out.
At the shooting range J. tried out a .50 gun. The thing actually had a shock wave. There was a shooting limit of 4 times.
Mostly J. played video games during the day:
I spent some time wandering around hotels. The Aladdin/Planet Hollywood:
They have that cool indoor rainstorm. And a wall of welcome:
The Bellagio:
New York, New York was interesting:
Across from that was some kind of candyland…I avoided like plague.
Here’s the New York, New York from the Paris…where we stayed. It was cold when I started out…by the time I walked there I was dying of heat.
More inside New York, New York:
Vegas is actually a lot like Pheonix…only less icky in a stogy way. Vegas icky doesn’t start till day 4:
After New York, New York I headed to the MGM Grand. It’s old and has some weird things in it, like animatronic animals and real lions. The kaleidescope was cool.
Didn’t make it to the Excalibur this time, but I got a shot:
Back at the Paris there is a twisty street exit from the pool. Every door had two not so helpful signs:
The Bellagio fountain is always cool:
The Paris had some pretty flowers in bloom, re trying out the zoom on the new camera:
Back at MGM…the elusive kaleidoscope and various animatronics:
I’m pretty sure the glass was there to keep those memorized by the thing to keep from falling.
The little statue of Liberty…that means there’s three in the world right?
The Aladdin/PH has some nice lights:
MGM Grand, however, has some impressive gold lions, real and fake:
The inside of the New York New York is a like a mini city with a small park. There is even river. But nothing beats the wall of meat.
More Aladdin/PH, I walked the whole mile of shops:
We did not eat there but there is an Italian restaurant behind Bally’s and whatever the one next to it is called now. We pretty much did our own thing this time…J. wasn’t too keen on keeping up with his friends, so we only went by to say hi. The restaurant has the wall of the minis:
More of New York, New York:
Bellagio from Paris and around Paris:
We stayed in the Paris this time. It was very nice.
Back to the MGM again…they have fish…like many other casinos there.
MGM also has the wall of saki:
You can get anything in vegas…including cool car rental:
Vegas is pretty dirty during the day…at night…it’s very pretty:
The Eiffel Tower restaurant has incredible food. The best I’ve every had…it hurts the wallet to think about it. The waitress took our picture.
And finally the wall of TV and the Wall of Wine. J. had envy issues.
Cat has pictures in her gallery.
